Alright folks, gather around and grab your strongest drink (hell, grab two) because we’re diving headfirst into a Senate clusterfuck that’s poised to be more chaotic than a toddler hopped up on Mountain Dew at Chuck E. Cheese. Donald Trump’s self-proclaimed masterpiece, the ironically titled “Big Beautiful Bill,” has cleared the House Budget Committee, and if that committee’s May 18 vote was any indication, the upper chamber is about to implode like a homemade rocket built by flat-earthers.
First, brace yourself for the Truth Social apocalypse; Trump’s imminent online tantrums will be legendary. Expect nuclear-level rants like:
• “THE SENATE IS A TOTAL DISASTER. RAND PAUL? RAND PAUL IS MORE LIKE BLAND PAUL. IF YOU DON’T PASS MY BEAUTIFUL BILL, I’M REPLACING YOU WITH A RACCOON IN A SUIT. BELIEVE ME, NOBODY WILL NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE.”
• “MITCH MCCONNELL IS A TURTLE. ACTUAL TURTLES MOVE FASTER. SO SAD. MITCH, IF YOU FAIL, I’M SENDING GIULIANI TO LIVE IN YOUR GARAGE.”
Behind the scenes, senators are about to experience a special brand of Trump diplomacy that could make a hostage negotiator retire early. Picture Mitch McConnell, bourbon bottle in hand, silently enduring Trump’s voice at 3 a.m.:
“MITCH! MITCHY! PEOPLE SAY YOU’RE WASHED UP! SO WASHED UP! DO YOU WANT ME TO START CALLING YOU ‘GLITCH MCCONNELL’ ON TRUTH SOCIAL? PASS THE DAMN BILL OR I’LL SEND ERIC TO YOUR OFFICE WITH A UKULELE.”
Senator Ron Johnson will inevitably receive Trump’s charming midnight serenade:
“RON, YOUR CUTS ARE PATHETIC! YOU’RE LIKE DIET TED CRUZ, ZERO CALORIES, ZERO BACKBONE. SAD! CUT DEEPER OR I’LL LEAK YOUR NETFLIX HISTORY. WE KNOW ABOUT YOUR ‘EMILY IN PARIS’ BINGE, RON.”
Rand Paul, never one to pass up political grandstanding, will get a frantic call:
“RAND, YOU’RE MAKING ME LOOK BAD! IF YOU DON’T GET IN LINE, I’LL TWEET THAT YOU SECRETLY LOVE OBAMACARE. YES, OBAMACARE! TRY DENYING THAT, RAND.”
Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, moderate Republicans who often pretend to deliberate thoughtfully before inevitably voting “yes,” will face Trump’s nuanced threat:
“SUSAN, IF YOU FAIL ME, I’M TELLING EVERYONE IN MAINE THAT LOBSTERS ARE JUST WET SPIDERS. MAINE WILL NEVER RECOVER. SO WET, SO CREEPY!”
On the Senate floor itself, expect Mitch McConnell mumbling incoherently about “responsibility” while internally screaming for mercy. Meanwhile, Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders will be openly roasting Republicans. Schumer, smirking, will say, “Mitch, blink twice if you’re trapped in your own personal hell,” while Bernie yells, “This bill is trickle-down economics on steroids. The billionaires get a yacht, and everyone else gets a coupon for canned beans.”
Enter Ted Cruz, always ready to unintentionally torpedo his own side with a Shakespearean rant that somehow references Star Wars, Harry Potter, and, inexplicably, Fast and Furious 7. Cruz will declare, “We must pass this bill, because just like Vin Diesel taught us, it’s all about family.” At which point, every Republican will facepalm simultaneously, causing seismic activity measurable in Canada.
When the bill finally stumbles out of the Senate (mangled, scarred, and barely recognizable), Trump will inevitably post another social media masterpiece:
• “THE SENATE RUINED MY BEAUTIFUL BILL! IT WAS PERFECT. NOW IT’S A TOTAL DISGRACE. I WILL VETO THIS MONSTROSITY AND WRITE MY OWN BILL IN CRAYON IF I HAVE TO. CRAYON BILL COMING SOON! BIGLY GOOD BILL, FOLKS!”
Look, at this point, we sincerely hope we’re living in a simulation; at least then someone, somewhere, might actually be learning something.
Clearly, we aren’t.
We’ve reached peak absurdity, peak political circus, peak American democracy. And yes, EDW is partially responsible. We haven’t mocked these clowns nearly enough.
We’ve failed you.
We’ve failed ourselves.
That ends now.
Buckle up, world. EDW is done holding back.
Shit’s about to get real.
Let’s get the fuck after it.
