A public service announcement from Executive Dysfunction Weekly

Due to technical difficulties, reality is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience. While we reboot the truth, please enjoy this curated feed of emotionally satisfying nonsense.

What happened?

Simple: Lies travel faster, louder, and with better fonts. Truth showed up in sensible shoes with a clipboard. Lies arrived in a Monster truck blasting dubstep and yelling about lizard people.

And guess what?

People love a good story. Who wants nuance and peer-reviewed facts when you can have a meme about secret bunkers and satanic Wi-Fi?

Reality has no ad budget.

Conspiracy theories practically market themselves, and business is booming.

Meanwhile on social media…

Algorithms: “Would you like 47 more posts confirming your worst suspicions?”

You: “Yes.”

Truth: “I brought sources?”

Everyone: “Boo. Nerd.”

Don’t worry though, it’s not just you.

We all live in custom realities now, like a Build-A-Bear workshop but for facts. You want science denial with a side of global cabal? There’s a subreddit for that. Your aunt’s Facebook feed hasn’t seen a true statement since 2016, and she’s never been happier.

Bottom line?

Truth is slow, inconvenient, and unsexy. Lies are fast, flattering, and free to share. So reality went on strike. Probably hiding in a bunker somewhere, binge-watching documentaries no one wants to fund.

We’ll let you know when it comes back online. In the meantime, please continue choosing comfort over coherence.

We’ll be here, screaming into the algorithm, armed with facts and a broken coffee maker.
