Trump wants the same game again.

He says the outrageous thing. He breaks the obvious norm. He dares everyone to make him the whole story. Then the cameras turn, the hearings begin, the outrage machine spins up, and he gets to tell every exhausted voter, “See? They came back for me again.”

That works better than people want to admit.

We already ran this movie. Impeachment. Hearings. January 6. Court cases. Chaos. Four years of receipts stacked to the ceiling.

Then enough voters put him back in office anyway.

That has to mean something.

It does not mean Trump was right. It means Democrats need to stop treating the country like one more hearing away from clarity. The middle of the country has already seen the evidence. They are tired. They are squeezed. They are mad about prices, gas, groceries, the border, crime, war risk, medical bills, and a government that sounds like it was built by cable news producers with a cocaine budget.

So here is the trap.

If Democrats win Congress and make the next two years about impeaching Trump, Trump wins even while losing.

Every camera turns back to him. Every policy fight becomes him. Every Republican gets to cosplay persecution. Every voter who held their nose and voted for him gets invited back into the bunker.

That is poison pawn politics.

Any decent chess player can see it.

Trump wants Democrats emotional. He wants them furious. He wants them righteous enough to make his favorite mistake for him.

Again.

Skip the trap.

Run on governing.

Say it clearly now.

We are running to lower costs. We are running to get energy prices under control. We are running to end the Iran mess before it eats household budgets alive. We are running to make food and medicine cheaper. We are running to protect Social Security and Medicare. We are running to make agencies competent again. We are running to use oversight like adults instead of turning Congress into a cable news audition.

That is the campaign. That is the contrast.

Trump gives drama. Give results instead.

Trump creates enemies. Create allies.

Trump gives another fight. Give working people something they can feel in their wallets.

Immigration needs the same grown up treatment.

Retire the dumbest version of the argument. Run on making ICE lawful, useful, targeted, and sane.

Go after violent criminals. Go after traffickers. Go after employers who exploit shadow labor while waving flags on television. Verify who is here. Protect working families who are paying taxes, raising kids, building businesses, and trying to become part of the country.

Imagine an immigration system where decent people can cooperate, criminals lose hiding places, employers lose cheap abuse, and federal officers solve problems instead of creating fear.

That is competence.

America is at its best when it turns strivers into taxpayers, neighbors, nurses, contractors, soldiers, cooks, parents, and citizens.

That is the country talking.

The base will show up. They know what Trump is. The fight is for exhausted voters who want somebody in Washington to sound serious for five minutes in a row.

So yes, defend the courts. Yes, protect the Constitution. Yes, investigate actual crimes. Yes, use oversight.

Use it like adults.

Then govern.

The country does not need another two year performance about how terrible Trump is. People know. They have eyes. They have phones. They have blood pressure.

They need proof that somebody else can make life better.

Trump wants America trapped inside his drama.

Offer the exit.
